Stock of the Year 2008 - With Anid_007

Hi All,
Today one of our old pick Compact Disk has reached its ST target of 130. we have wrapped up a profit of 40% odd in less than a month

Although I am offcially closing the call today (and you all may book profit) but I myself is not selling my holding today.

The reason is P/E is low, Balance sheet looks extremely good, and stock is hitting UC daliy even when all circuit breaking stocks are beaten badly and sensex and Nifty are also plunging.

We can expect the uptrend to continue in this stock when market recovers from recent crash.The demand end is very hot. The chance of operator driven momentum can not be ignored and may be I am sounding greedy, but risk of continuing holding is worth the return I beleive.

No Fresh buy is suggested at this level.

This time I have revised my stoploss to 118 and continue holding till Jan End.

ABG Shipyard looks good at the CMP 872 today. May yield good 10% return very soon (< 10 days). Watch the stock

Market is butchered. Sensex is 700 pt down. Weekend profit
booking, Negative Global Cues, and approaching rollover date frightening retail
buyers. Looks like the combined negative campaign by group of people with vested
interest is scoring their points.

Soon (may be on Monday) we shall hear them saying--'no worry now in US market'--'
Good Buying time' etc.

Retailers always have been taken for a ride and the fun ride continues.

Last month when you suggested this Compact Disk, I searched for it from my trading account (HDFC) but got "No data found" message. I didnt know how to search and buy this stock. So lost opportunity there. Hope you'll take my suggestion.

This crash over last few days reminds me of last budget period crash and it seems we have (I have surely!) landed in the same situation i.e. holding stocks at 15 to 20 % (or may be 30 %) loss. What ever rally that may take place after this crash will only help us to recover our loss and not to generate profit. Anyway, that's why entry and exit is so very important in this market (or any market). Now its like PHAS gaye!! All those who have followed the principle of one leg on the ground i.e. always keeping some reserve cash, will benefit from the crash because stocks will now be available at mouth watering prices with probably 20-25 % profit in 10-15 days!! So the moral of the story is ALWAYS KEEP SOMETHING UP YOUR SLEEVE!

Well---I believe the bottom is reached . Even if it correctes, it should not be more and the correction will be very very temporary. You guys can go ahead with buying (keep a 3-6 month stand atleast)

What a ride we had today! I thought that the world is
ending today, the way people were selling off. Stocks fluctuated easily
between 10 -15 %. I could make some money out of that on Bhushan,
Nagarjuna and Infosys.
But it is really difficult to think of a
time frame when we might again see Leela Hotel (I am holding at 67) or
Nagarjuna Fert (not holding) to get back to Dec 07 levels. Only thing
now is PATIENCE which I do not have
because even if the markets come back, we will only be getting our
capital back... but thats part of the game...cheers! waiting for Anid

Hi All,
I dont know if you are now in some pub or bar or actaully surfing, as 3-4 pegs
of whiskey is a must to swallow the market activity today.

I don't know if me or my team (or any of those so called professional analyst,
giving calls in paid sites) were ready for this. The day we are expecting a
bounce back, had been one of the most painful day for investors. If someone has
borrowed money and invested in market to gain some very ST gain, are going to
be the biggest loser. One thing is for sure - this panic selling by investors
is going to ruin the confidence of common people on market.





But veteran and seasoned people wont give a damn to such
case and would be rather observant to find if the market is bottomed out. And
the day it appears so, they will jump with their entire 2nd tier equity fund.

But in such scenario, we really can not understand if the market is bottomed or
not.

Then what to do?

1. First thing--Don't sell any of your shares just because of panic , rather
extend your position. Remember 'just like virtual profit in your portfolio-
a loss is also virtual unless you book it'. So if you have trust in your
pick, just hang on.

2. if you have some spare money, invest 10-20% of your free equity fund daily (until
you are done with) on some good stocks which are beaten most badly and expecting
bounce back once market stabilizes. e.g- REL,Esser oil, Nagarjuna Fert, GMR
infra .

3. The day you see market is showing some good positive uptrend (for a second successive
day preferably) jump in with your rest of equity fund for quickest profit.

4. If you like MFs and SIP, this is probably a good time to put some money in
those.

5. Don't panic, keep your BP normal--Life will continue and we will be cheering
for new high once again--may be later, but not never.

LT scrip is Pow Grid

MT scrip is RCOM..... But you have better choice around, like in L&T, REL, NTPC.

I was in no mood of buying before the next portfolio publication. But the sudden crash in this market forced me to do something. I poured 1.5 L today (I should not have wasted the free money of 2L plus I had on Gizmos and SIP, which I kept as free money in Portfolio Ver 1).

Whatever:

My shopping list goes like this:

RPL 415 unit at 118/-

L&T 15 unit at 3329/-

ALPS IND 1000 UNIT AT 50/-

I am keeping my finger crossed, this purchse is literally meant for VST stand (1-2 months), as I need to free the money soon.

I will update the entries in Portfolio Ver 1 by night

We are trying our level best--May be by tomorrow day end. Infact I don't want the market to be on a negative mode while publishing the portfolio. I need some uptrend. Anyways we will try to make best of the timing this time.

Markets will bounce back...anyways Nucleus Software which I am holding (though it is a failed call) a meager 100 @ 330 showed good strength and was one of the first few stocks to go green... hope it does better tomorrow as well! Also managed to pick up GMR Infra 600 Nos. @ 118/-. This was a good buy as later in the day it closed about Rs.155/-

Yes..That has been a great bottom fetching..and mostly by luck. I never expected that script to go to that level. I was occasionally logging in while the bloodbath was on. Saw the RPL in 114 mark, could not resist myself. By the time I was placing my order, it was already on the move, and I got it in 118.

But My Dark Horse is ALPS Ind.

Even I hope so..Let see

The recent market correction forced me to make lots of last
minute changes. However it is good that the correction is over as of now and
fresh buying has begun.

I will be carrying over of my open position in Portfolio V1 to this new one and I am going to enter in
2 Lakhs Slot.

The other buying slot suggested by us are in 25k,50k,1L,2L and 5 L.

See what's your size of shoes.I know it could be more.
